A small step in helping children living in poverty

Sadly Winnipeg has the highest child-poverty rate in Canada. We believe that even the smallest effort to help a child is beneficial and we prefer to focus on Winnipeg children.

The concept is simple, affordable and can easily be turned into a great family experience.

The Project-2017

On  Sunday November 26 between 12:30 to 3:00,  we will be gathering at 4-580 Pembina Hwy to assemble boxes for distribution.
How you chose to participate is up to you.

1- Fill a shoebox and drop it off. *
2- Drop off items to be included in a box.
3- Make a small cash donation and we will purchase items for a box.
4- Join us for the afternoon to build boxes.

* Filler item suggestions
-Small toy
-Crayons, coloured pencils
-Crafts and activities
-Personal care and hygiene items

We are thrilled to have teamed with the resource centre at Thrive. They work right here in the West End with high need families. 100% of all donations goes directly into Thrive’s programs and the community.
They will be hosting a family dinner and the boxes will be added to the gifts given to the children. There is much need and donations of all types are welcome. Feel free to be as generous as you please.
